About UsThe Milford Central School Education Foundation (MEF) is a 501c3 non-profit incorporated on January 8, 2009. MEF supports educational opportunity, scholastic achievement and innovative programming in the greater Milford, New York community. Support for MEF is provided through our generous donors and the successful grant-writing initiatives of our dedicated volunteers and students.

PhilanthropyM.I.S.S.I.O.N. (Meaningful Investments for Student Solutions in Our Neighborhood) was founded by high school students from rural upstate New York. They witnessed first hand the need for positive change in the environment, education, and their community. M.I.S.S.I.O.N. is truly youth-driven! M.IS.S.I.O.N. students raise money through grants and fund-raisers for projects that align with their funding priorities. Scholarship![]() Richard Bates Scholarship
Purpose: To recognize a graduating senior who is pursuing higher education in Math or Science. Throughout high school, this student will also have reflected the attributes of Mr. Bates through their involvement in extra curricular activities and service to the Milford community. In Memory of: Richard H. Bates was a very special thoughtful person who had devoted much of his energy and skill to his students and to the good of the Milford Central School as a whole. Purpose: The Peter N. Livshin Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who is pursuing Humanities and/or Civics and reflects the commitment to and passion for this as demonstrated by retired Superintendent Peter N. Livshin. Honoring: On June 30, 2016 Mr. Peter N. Livshin retired as Superintendent of MCS, a position he has held for 19 years.
